My work with the Wassaic Project, while part of my studio practice as a whole endeavor (think social practice gone to seed!), has generated all kinds of imagery related to the place. Birds, moths, plants, architecture, and the landscape were all popping into my head, so I started making prints of them. Some of the imagery are photographs that I have taken or drawn and some is pulled from the web and modified. It’s playful and is an ongoing conversation with the place of Wassaic.
During the summers when we’re in Wassaic I’ve been lucky to work with the master printers in the Wassaic Project print shop. Doug, Scott, Colleen, Keely and Zack have all been incredible mentors and guides. THANK YOU! <3
